Washington stood here



And this is a statue of George Washington in the same square. I'm not sure why they decided to make a Washington statue instead of a Braddock statue, but I suppose Washington was the closest thing to a hero in a basically failed battle. Arguably this was one of the most formative battles of Washington's early career, as well. At any rate, I did take a clearer photo of the statue, but then decided I liked this one better, so here you are.

Next week, we finish up the square and explore the nearby street.
